How Women Write

Conversations with author-entrepreneurs about how the work actually gets made.

Celebrating over 100 episodes!

Every writer has a public story.
The book, the platform, the bestseller list.

The real story is what we don’t see inside those pages. Their path is central to their story.
The drafts that didn't work.
The versions they started over.
The 2 am writing sessions scribbling in the dark.
The years between books.
The moment they stopped trying to write for an audience and started writing like themselves.

That's the story I ask about.

On How Women Write, I talk with authors, founders, and leaders about voice, creative process, and building a body of work that lasts. No hustle tips or thirty-step formulas. Just honest conversations about what it takes to say something true and what it feels like to put it out into the world.

New episodes every Tuesday.

Why I host How Women Write

I spent 13 years in corporate communications, interviewing executives so I could write in their voices. I learned to listen for the story beneath the story —the one under the polished answer.

Now I get to sit with these leaders and ask those questions out loud.

The podcast is where I keep learning. Every guest reminds me that there's no single right way to write the story. Only your way, done at full strength.

I talk about:

  • Voice, and communicating with authority

  • Intuitive and energy-first writing

  • Writing books and coaching authors

  • What crisis communications taught me about words under pressure

And the story behind it: layoffs and reinvention, immigration, moving 14+ times as an adult, and homeschooling my kids while building a business.
