Communications Strategist for Founders & Leadership Teams
Because your voice and your energy are your strategy.
WHAT: Communications advising & executive coaching. I tell you what to say and coach your team to say it with full strength.
WHO: Founders and leadership teams who have outgrown the templated consultant.
WHY: Because the real story has been buried and your messages are getting ignored — until now.
The skills that move a room aren't the ones on your org chart.
Your team can build a messaging framework. They can write on-brand copy, run the content calendar, even draft an inspiring newsletter while hitting every deadline.
What they usually can't do is read what's happening underneath your words — the thing your leadership team feels and hasn't said, the story your organization keeps circling and never quite tells. The invisible thing that people feel and won’t say out loud.
That's not a writing skill. It's intuition, trained and applied — and it's the part of communications strategy almost no one else is bringing to the table.
It's also the part that changes whether your message actually lands, or just gets sent and ticks a box.
As your Communications Advisor, I become your senior communications partner.
Not a vendor or someone you hand a list of tasks to.
I sit inside your leadership team. Before I tell you what to say, I'm reading the room — the gap between how your organization sounds and what it actually feels like from the inside, the thing your team knows and hasn't said out loud yet.
This is where my background does something most comms strategists can't. Thirteen years in corporate crisis communications taught me how to move fast and think structurally under pressure. My training in mind-body therapy and years of intuitive coaching taught me how to read what's being held back.
Most people bring you one of those — strategy & empathy. I bring both.
Once you're writing from truth, getting your whole organization to say it the same way stops being a project. It's what happens next.
You've tried …
The framework
The committee-approved template
The consultant who takes orders + never asked what's actually going on.
You know something more is possible.
Retainer or project-based — built around what you need right now.
21 years in rooms where the wrong word cost something real.
I didn't start as a writing coach.
I started in corporate communications — crisis response at BlackBerry, change management at Navigant and Slalom, internal and external comms for organizations where clarity under pressure wasn't a nice-to-have.
I know what it looks like when a communications strategy is built properly. I also know exactly what it costs when it isn't.
What I bring to founders and growing companies is that same rigor, plus the read most strategists never learned how to do — the empathy and intuition to sense what your organization actually needs to say, not just what sounds right on paper.
(For what it's worth — I use AI in my own process, as you probably do, too. What I won't let it do is flatten your voice or replace the read only a human who's genuinely paying attention can give you. That part stays human.)
Your voice and your energy are your strategy.
I help you build both — using skills you can't put on a scorecard, but with results you absolutely can.
Most communications consultants read your brand guide.
I read the room.
That means the actual cadence of how your leadership team talks when no one's editing them. The story your org keeps almost telling and pulling back from. The emotional truth sitting underneath a strategy deck that's technically correct and still not landing.
This isn't soft, and its results aren't unmeasurable, even if the skill itself doesn't show up on a resume. It's empathy and intuition, trained through certification and 21+ years of high-stakes practice — applied with the same rigor I'd bring to any strategic decision.
What we work on together:
EXECUTIVE VOICE
For you and your leadership team's individual presence
Executive voice and thought leadership
Speaking training and presentation coaching
ORGANIZATIONAL COMMUNICATIONS
The systems and rhythm that keep your whole org saying it the same way
Messaging strategy and organizational alignment
Internal communications
Communications infrastructure
Timing and cadence
HIGH-STAKES MOMENTS
When it has to land right the first time
Launch and campaign messaging
Crisis and reputation communications
I've spent 21 years in rooms where the wrong word could mean disaster. And just as long as learning to read the room for what’s really being said between the lines.
I'm the founder of The Intuitive Writing School, a four-time author, and host of the How Women Write podcast.
My training in mind-body work and background in crisis communications sit side by side — one taught me calm confidence under pressure, the other taught me how to sense what's actually going on in a room and what's been left unsaid.
I bring both to this work.

This is for you if —
You've had the conventional communications consultant, and something is still missing
Your team communicates inconsistently — internally, externally, or both
You're stepping into a bigger leadership moment, and your voice needs to catch up
You have a high-stakes initiative coming — a launch, pivot, rebrand — and it needs to land clean
You sense which parts of your messaging aren't quite true anymore, and you're ready to deal with that instead of polishing over it again
This is NOT for you if —
You want someone to manage your social media calendar
You want something that sounds impressive and says nothing
You want a voice guide instead of an actual voice
Two ways to engage.
Option 1: Retainer
A monthly retainer gives you a consistent strategic advisor — one who brings both structural rigor and the intuitive read most consultants never learn. We define the scope together — what you need most, what we tackle first, how we work.
Retainers are advisory: strategy, direction, and coaching your team on the writing itself. I'll tell you what to say and how to say it stronger — the keyboard stays with your team.
Starting at $12,000/month, 3-month minimum engagement
Option 2: Project
For a specific communications challenge — a launch, a rebrand, a crisis, a change you need to get right.
I diagnose what's actually going on, map the messaging strategy, and coach your team through the writing so it lands. You walk away with the framework and the words in your own hands, not just mine.
Priced by project scope.
Most projects start at $6,000 and scale with depth and timeline.
