The Living Book
You're ready to write your book. You just don’t know where to start.
Whether you're telling your story or sharing your expertise — I'll help you get it out of your head and onto the page.
Book Coaching Services
Everyone has a story to tell.
The ones that stay unwritten are just waiting for the right conditions, the right support, and the belief that they're worth writing. I'll help you create all three and write a book you're proud of.
[Your book goes here.]
Some writers need 60 days (or less).
Some need six months.
Some need a year.
The timeline doesn't make the book more or less real.
It makes it yours. And it honors your process.
TRUTH: Everyone has a story to tell.
Here's what I want you to know before we talk about timelines and what's included:
—> The writers I work with aren't writing a book to have a business card with "author" on it.
They're writing because it has to come out of them.
You feel an ache from not writing. Every time you see someone you know publish a book, you secretly think, “Ugh. My book. But when? And … how?”
If that's you — you're in the right place.
This is for you if:
You have a clear book idea and you're ready to write — not someday, now
You've been circling this book for too long and need a real deadline with accountability and support through all of it
You want someone in your corner who understands the inner experience of writing, not just the craft
You're committed to finishing, and you want a contained, high-momentum experience to get there
This is not for you if:
You just want to put “author” on your business card
You don't yet have a clear concept (start with a Book Mapping Session first — see below)
You're not ready to write consistently and do the work to get your book out of your head and onto the page
You want someone else to do it for you
Meet Your Book Writing Guide
Jacqueline Fisch
After writing and publishing four of my own books — and doing the inner work that every book demands — I know exactly what it takes to go from idea to holding it in your hands.
I've worked with business owners, coaches, and executives on everything from positioning to planning to publication. And I bring my Quantum Mind Body Coach training (QMBT™) to every engagement, because the hardest part of writing a book is rarely the writing itself.
It's the question underneath the writing: What does it mean about me if this isn't the best thing I've ever done?
That's the question I help you answer — so you can keep writing. Because ultimately, it’s about getting the stories out of you.
THE LIVING BOOK
The Living Book is my private 1:1 book coaching experience — close, high-touch, and built around the book you're writing and the writer you are right now.
Every client gets the same depth of attention. The only difference is the pace. Everyone writes at different speeds and I honor that.
One offer. Three timelines. Your book, done.
60 DAYS
For writers who are ready to move.
Most writers spend months — sometimes years — circling their book. Rereading old chapters, rewriting the beginning, waiting until it's "good enough." This container is designed to break that pattern entirely.
I read your chapters each week for the big picture. I stay inside your book's world as you write it, so when we meet, it's as if I've been sitting beside you the whole time. I know where your narrative is going, where your voice is strongest, and what's holding you back.
Sixty days from our first session, you'll have a complete draft in your hands — and you'll know it's ready for a copyeditor.
This is for you if:
You have a clear book idea and you're ready to write now
You've been circling this book too long and you need a real deadline with support
You want a contained, high-momentum experience — & you thrive with that kind of energy
You can dedicate at least 5-10 hours a week
This is not for you if:
You don't yet have a clear concept (start with a Book Mapping Session — see below)
You need processing time between writing sessions
You want open-ended, go-at-your-own-pace support
What's included:
90-minute Book Mapping Session to lock in your outline, audience, and positioning — so day one, you're writing
Weekly chapter reading — every chapter you send, I read and provide weekly written notes — what's working, what wants more, where the energy wanes
Quantum mind and body coaching woven throughout — because fear, resistance, and identity shifts show up every time you write something that stretches you
1-2 coaching calls/week to process what came up in the writing and keep you moving
Voxer access between sessions — so you're never stuck waiting for the next call
Investment: $7500
Most clients choose this one. It's the fastest path to a complete draft — and the container I designed first, for a reason.
Need more spaciousness? Here are your options:
6 MONTHS
For writers who need space to process.
Some books need more room. Not because you're slow — but because what you're writing is asking you to grow alongside it. Memoir writers know this. So do coaches and consultants writing the book that captures years of hard-won wisdom.
The 6-month container gives you the same depth of support — with built-in breathing room. You'll still finish with a complete, copyeditor-ready draft. But you'll have time to sit with what you're writing, let it settle, and come back to it with more clarity.
This is for you if:
Your book is drawing from deep personal experience or years of professional insight
You've tried to rush it before and it didn't work — the material needed more time
You want consistent, close support over a longer period
You're still building your writing rhythm
What's included: Everything in the 60-Day container, paced across six months:
Book Mapping Session at the start
Weekly chapter reading and written notes
Twice-monthly coaching calls (with the option to add calls as needed)
Quantum mind-body coaching throughout
Voxer access between sessions
Investment: $11,000
12 MONTHS
For writers doing the most transformational work of their lives.
Some books aren't just a project. They transform the writer.
The 12-month container is for the writer who knows this book will challenge and change them — and wants support through it all. The writing and the identity shift. The grief that sometimes surfaces. The clarity that needs space and then connects all at once.
This is my most intimate offering. I work with very few clients in this container at any time.
Over twelve months, we'll move through your full manuscript together — from concept to complete draft to a book that's ready for copyediting. You'll have close, consistent access to me throughout, and we'll work at a pace that honors both the book and you.
This is for you if:
You're writing a memoir or a deeply personal nonfiction book
You've tried to write this book before and couldn't finish — and you know it wasn't about discipline
You want a thinking partner who'll be with you through the whole experience
You want to emerge from this process not just with a book, but with a changed relationship to your own voice
What's included: Everything in the 6-Month container, extended and deepened:
Book Mapping Session + quarterly re-mapping as the book evolves
Weekly chapter reading and written notes
Weekly coaching calls
Quantum mind-body coaching throughout
Voxer access
Support through the full writing — from first draft through final structural polish
Investment: $16,000

AFTER THE DRAFT
Two ways to keep working with me once your manuscript is done — pick one, or both.
MANAGED COPYEDITING
You don't have to find, vet, or manage a copyeditor. I’ve already done this.
I hire and manage a copyeditor from my trusted list, on your behalf. These are the ones I trust with my own books. You're not getting a name and a "good luck" — you're getting my oversight and project management, making sure the person polishing your book delivers.
What's included:
I select and hire your copyeditor — someone who already understands your voice, because they've worked with my clients before
I manage the process and timeline, so you're not the one chasing anyone down
A final check from me before it's handed back to you
Investment: Starting at $1,800
(Final investment depends on manuscript length — you’ll get an exact number once your manuscript is ready.)
THE SELF-PUBLISHING ROADMAP
A finished manuscript and a published book are two different things.
I'll walk you through what’s next — ISBN, formatting, cover, distribution — and skip the noise. One session, one clear roadmap, so you're never guessing what comes next.
What's included:
A self-publishing strategy session — including key decisions to make
Suggestions for cover and interior book designers and guidance at every phase
A step-by-step roadmap from finished draft to published book
Positioning guidance — your one-line pitch, your comp titles, KDP keywords, who this book is actually for
Investment: $950
Both add-ons are available exclusively to Living Book clients — because I only guide writers whose work I already know through to publication.
Note: I support the self-publishing path. If you're pursuing a traditional publisher or literary agent, I'll point you toward someone suited to that world.
Petra, Award-Winning Filmmaker
“I was hesitant to work with Jacq because I've tried working with many writing coaches, and it's not always a fit. And now, I'm looking forward to starting a fresh new draft of my book with a new angle that she helped me find. It's made all the difference in my attitude and enthusiasm about doing it while taking out the paralyzing overwhelm.
I enjoyed the efficiency, quick reviews, and clear step-by-step instructions to keep a distracted person from straying off course. I've regained the sense that — I can do this. Before, I wasn't so sure...
If you're stuck finding your focus, audience, and your message, or just need to hone it — Jacq WILL get you over the hump. Working with Jacq doesn't feel like working; she makes writing a book feel like a solvable puzzle, showing you the pieces are already there. That's a true gift!”
Client Love
"Something just clicked in me that when I sit down now, all of these details are pouring out in a way that just feels so elegant..."
”Oh my God, the book I'm producing is of such a different caliber."
“The care and attention that you put into your relationships feels so expansive. Like, even you just writing back (after I sent my draft) and being like, I love the energy of this. I'll dive more into it later. Even if that wasn't true*, you know how much an author needs to hear that, and I just thank you so much for that.”
* It IS true! I AM excited for her. I can’t lie (which is why I don’t write fiction ).
What First-Time Authors Are Saying
“As a first-time author, I was blissfully unaware of what I was stepping into. When I reached out to Jacqueline, I thought I was in the final stages of editing. What I really needed was someone who could walk me through the challenging and affirming process of writing deeply personal stories about my life and make them make sense to others. Jacq is such a powerful book coach.
She listens, nudges, and sets realistic expectations that support you as an author and an entrepreneur. She's held my hand through one of the most transformative processes of my career, and I highly recommend working with her if you're writing a book that's personal in any way.
Writing this book with her by my side had undoubtedly changed me and my business for the better. I am so grateful for her patience and encouragement when my book took double the time to write than I imagined. I would have abandoned my book in my Google Drive long ago if it weren't for her!”
— Kim Wensel, Business & Career Strategist and Author of The Multi-Hypenate Dilemma
“Working with Jacqueline has been a dream come true. I couldn’t have asked for a more thoughtful, heartfelt, and wise editor for my book. Not only is she an editor, but also a writing coach who has helped immensely through my writing process.”
— Malika Semper, Astrolger & Author of Tales of the Zodiac
Top Questions About Book Coaching
-
Yes — we start there. Your first session is a 90-minute Book Mapping Session where we build your outline, define your audience, and set your writing direction. On day one of whichever timeline you choose, you're ready to write.
-
Yes — some as we go, and after your draft, we’ll do two complete rounds. Each week I read your chapters and return developmental notes and suggestions: structure, flow, voice, what's working, what wants more. The goal isn't to polish every sentence — it's to keep your manuscript building in the right direction so that when we’re done, you're handing a solid, complete draft to a copyeditor, not a developmental editor.
The plus side of working with me as your coach and developmental editor as you write is that your draft will be in good shape and have a great foundation for copy edits. Meaning your copy editor will need less time (and a lower investment). I have a handful of copy editors I trust, and will facilitate your copy edits if you like.
-
It means your structure is sound, your voice is consistent, and your ideas are fully on the page. A copyeditor refines and polishes — they shouldn't be rebuilding your book. Our time together gets it to that point.
-
I work especially well with books rooted in personal experience, transformation, and wisdom — the kind of book that requires the author to do real inner work before they can write it. There are certain topics that are misaligned with my values, and in those cases, I'll recommend someone better suited to your project.
